Variance (To the Rescue!)

Variance measures how spread out a group of numbers is. It’s like an average of how close each each observation is to the mean. Variance is a more accurate measure of variation than the range or average deviation, as it takes into account every single data point in a set, and it’s not always zero, making it useful for comparing different data sets.
